API access
Create credentials for your own tools, scripts and AI agents.
Open Integrations → API Access to create credentials for software that needs to work with your catalog, and to see the AI apps connected to your team. There are two kinds of credentials:
OAuth clients: for the REST API
Use an OAuth client for your own scripts and systems that read and change data. Choose the scopes it needs (for example Products (Read) and Products (Write)), then copy the client ID and secret. The secret isn't shown again, but you can rotate it at any time. See the REST API guide.
Connecting Claude or ChatGPT doesn't need an OAuth client: see Connect your AI.
API keys: for read-only product feeds
Use an API key when a system only needs to read your catalog through the JSON or OData product feeds, for example a spreadsheet or a BI tool. API keys can be given an expiry date. The key isn't shown again after you create it.
Good practice
- Create separate credentials for each tool, so you can revoke one without affecting the others.
- Give each one only the access it needs.
- Delete credentials you no longer use.
